Game Content
Gaming1 are an HTML expert, and it shows in the brilliant Ruby Stone and the Book of Scarab slot. A game that has all the hallmarks of an engaging and entertaining slot.
The Book of Scarab looks like a basic Book of… game, but there is a difference, the Scarab Bonus symbol. This game is beautifully designed, with a tasty graphics package that includes some cool animation, and a background vibe that makes you want to travel to the ancient sands that surround the Pyramids. Especially when you are in the Free Spins zone.
That said, there is nothing new to this game. The design is great, but the theme has been done many many times before. Same with the characters. Ruby Stone is Lara Croft, is Joan Wilder (Romancing the Stone), is Miss Indiana Jones.
As with all Gaming1 games, the graphics are good and there is an instant recognition of Ruby Jones and a quest to discover the golden riches hidden inside an ancient Pyramid/tomb. The Scarab Bonus round is good too, though not always generous.
The safer gambling element is limited in this game, but there is a fabulous Loss Limiter in the auto-spins dropdown. Obviously, you can’t control your losses, but you can work out what (if any) financial implications playing a set number of games will have.
NOTE: There is a turbo mode on this game, but unless you like watching your pot disappear in the blink of an eye, I’d avoid it, because the reel spins completely in less than a second.
