It’s a tried and tested theme that works, and the Lost Book by Redstone Gaming is no exception to this rule. Play one and you’ve essentially played them all, BUT, every now and then they add a little something special to the game that makes it stand out. Sadly, not with this game.
That said, it is a fabulously entertaining game and every bit as good as every other Egyptian Tomb-themed game out there. More so in fact, because this game has a brilliantly animated Bonus round that will keep you glued to the screen.
Weird thing to say, but this game makes you want to win just to see the show, rather than the cash heading your way. Other than that, the Lost Book isn’t the most entertaining game to play, unless you are in the Free Spins rounds with its seriously generous payouts.
Played this game on three separate occasions and managed to come out on top. Obviously, luck plays its part, but this is the best game I have played in a while for bagging the Super Bonus wins. I managed to x15 my stake in every game I played.
Safety features in this game are pretty simple but worth mentioning as they offer both a Win-limit option and more importantly, a loss-limit option. Set either of these and the game automatically stops when your limit is reached. Works on autoplay mode. Worth using if you are on a limited budget, because this game throws out plenty of wins, but not all of them cover your stake, i.e. Stake 2€ and win 1€.
Redstone is new to the world of game design but has hit the ground running with a staggering 17 games released in under a year, including the brilliant Lost Book and the cinematically brilliant Book of Dread.
The Lost Book has all the classic Book of… Bonus options and then some. Spin and drop three or more scatter symbols and the Free Spins feature is triggered. You are then taken to the actual Lost Book which reveals your Bonus symbol, and the spins begin. You start with 8 free spins.
Prizes in this game are generous enough, especially if you manage to trigger the Bonus rounds. The Lost Book slot offers a fast spin option, but this just takes away the enjoyment and eats through your pot like a plague of ancient locusts, so feel free to avoid this option. There is no gamble feature either, just good old-fashioned reels and spins with tasty graphics.
