Game Content
The title sort of gives this away, but the Book of Tombs is an Egyptian-themed cave of wonders-style game that sort of rocks. Sort of. It’s a nice clean looking game with all the usual features you’d expect from a Book game.
Booming Games know what they are doing when it comes to graphics and background tunes, this screams ancient Egyptian. The “Rocks” part comes from the fact that the gamble feature is nicely done, and everything is clean and simple. Oh, and there is the possibility of unlimited free spins and an enticing expanding symbol feature.
Other than that, this is just another take on a themed Book that has been beaten to death and then re-beaten. Nothing against ancient Egyptian-themed games, and absolutely nothing but love for Booming Games, but this game needs to offer more.
The entertaining factor wears off too soon for a game that was released in 2021.
The safer gambling element of this game is great. There is more than one option and you can track exactly what and when you spend. The autoplay setting is comprehensive enough to stop you from overspending or losing all your pot in one go. Obviously, it’s not perfect, but having a play limiter/reminder and a loss limiter working in cohesion to reduce your losses is a serious step in the right direction. The rest is a good old-fashioned manual click option. Which is good for me. What better way to control your game than a little willpower and an urge to play something else?

Booming Games are brilliant at what they do, but some of their games are a little “middle of the road”. Nothing wrong with that, but with games and graphics as good as these, Booming Games should be at the very top of the “must-play” pile.
