At first glance, this game seems to be all about the spins, jackpots, and bonuses, but look closer, and you’ll see that this is exactly what this game is about. The Book of Marx embodies the social, political, and economic theory that the father of communism foresaw. Not sure Marx envisaged the holy book “Das Capital” as a symbol for Free spins, but here we are. In this game, symbols of Marx, capitalists or honest workers can payout.

The graphics are not what you’d expect from 5Men Gaming, but, that’s the idea. This is a nod to class struggle. The game is done in an old-fashioned no thrills way that you’d expect from a “Das Capital” spin game. Riches and rewards, without the pomp and ceremony. Very Marx.

Animation and soundtrack in the Book of Marx are not top draw, but nor should they be. Working-class basic is what this game demands. Unfortunately, that might get lost on some players, in which case you’ll probably play this game with the sound off, and even then not for very long as this isn’t exactly engaging.

There is no safer gambling element in this game. This is just a spin-and-win game with a basic autoplay mode.

Prizes in this game are OK, but not epic. What you win might not break the bank, but it will keep your pot topped off nicely. I dropped the scatter symbol once and gambled, which paid out, though I doubt that will happen every time.  

Gamble Feature

There is a gamble feature in this game that is a simple 50/50 ladder game. Win and climb the socialist ladder, lose and back to work comrade.  

You need to manually activate the gamble feature to work, which does not work in Autoplay mode. The rest is just good old-fashioned reels and spins with functional graphics and a working-class soundtrack that made me glad to have an office job.
