There is something inherently wrong about the Ramses Book Christmas Edition that shouldn’t work, yet it does. Obviously, this is just Ramses Book with some tinsel, but that’s not a problem with me. I loved the original game, and I like this one too.

It is just a rehash of a good game, which is lazy game design, but it’s also innovatively smart from the master of all Book of… slot games. Gamomat has taken a seriously popular game and added Christmas spirit to it. Clever. Not sure this game will be played outside of the festive season, but while we are all in Christmas mode, this will go down well.

That said, everything that this game represents will offend someone somewhere, but I love it. Christmas baubles in the Tomb??? Yes please! Unfortunately, the baubles and the tinselated background track is the only surprise in this “new” game.

There is no safer gambling element in this game. The Autoplay is just a constant loop that will empty your pot in a rapid succession of spins. Stay manual and control your own game.

The Ramses Book Christmas Edition is built around the classic scatter symbols that you’d normally get with any Book of… slot. Three Book of… symbols trigger the Bonus spins and you are then taken to the actual Book which reveals your Bonus symbol, and the spins begin. You start with 10 free spins.

Prizes in this game are not massive, even when you go full limit, but they are generous, including the bonus rounds and added Wilds symbols wins. That said, it took us ages to trigger the free spins through the Book scatter symbols, but the wait was worth it.

Gamble Feature

There is more than one gamble feature in this game, but they do not work in Autoplay mode. The “Higher-Low!” game is a simple ladder that offers you more than one chance to either double or halve your win. Not the harshest of gamble features that will appeal to those that aren’t as daring as they think.

The other option is a good old-fashioned 50/50 Red or Black game. Winning doubles your pot, and losing empties it. The rest is just good old-fashioned reels and spins with good graphics and an OK soundtrack that has been slightly modified with sleigh bells and a general festive feel.
