Game Content
If the original book was screaming out for a Spanish-themed bullfighting background tune, then the Books & Bulls Golden Nights Bonus edition is no different. Here again, I can’t help but feel that Gamomat has missed an opportunity to “mop up” in this genre. Any Book slot that isn’t Egyptian-themed is welcomed here.
The “Golden Nights” edition is just an added bonus game. Sounds great, but this bonus game can and does drag on without actually triggering a bonus. Obviously, triggering a bonus doesn’t guarantee a prize. You could be sitting there with a massive 100 spins and get bored before the pot pays out. That doesn’t mean that this isn’t a seriously playable game, because it is. Generous on occasion too.
The “Golden Nights” feature can be de-selected, which effectively turns this game back into the original Books & Bulls game. Alas, that just makes this game into another Book slot game. It even has the original slot game noises, so there is no need to play this game with headphones or the sound on, which is sad.
The only time there is any “music”, is when you win, or during the build-up to bagging three scatter symbols, then the game briefly comes alive. Other than that, it’s the same noise you get on all other Gamomat slot games.
The graphics are basic at best and the game itself is a little dull in comparison with other Gamomat games, not least the Red Hot Firepot versions of this game.
There is no safer gambling element in this game. This is just a spin-and-win game with a basic autoplay mode.

Gamomat is, without doubt, the best at what they do, but not all games are created equal. Their Book of… series of slots is impressive, with a fabulous mix of themes and levels. All their games are worth playing, especially the mac daddy of them all, the fabulous and original Ramses Book. Plus all the other Ramses’ that followed.

Prizes in this game are pretty good, but not epic, and getting the scatter symbol (3 books) is as difficult as it is in other Books & Bulls games. That said, I managed the impossible and was happily surprised at the result. Obviously, it all depends on your stake, and luck, as this is a random feature, so there is no guarantee that your pot will be as big, but it will be generous.
Gamble Feature
This game has one of the best and most frustrating gamble features out there, but it also has the potential to trigger a Jackpot game with every spin. We played this game for ages before triggering the Golden Nights Bonus part and ended up with endless spins without a single win. The end result was as good but no better than the usual Free spins feature with the Book symbols. Shame really. The rest is just good old-fashioned spins.
