The Book of the Priestess Bonus Buy is a sequel to Evoplay’s legendary story of the Aztec civilization in the playable yet slightly dull Book of Priestess. In the Bonus Buy edition, the “Priestess” enhances players’ power by granting an exclusive opportunity to purchase Free Spins. Oh, the irony!!!!
If you have played or in dead read our review on the Book of Priestess, read it again, and add the words “this game comes with a Bonus Buy feature”, and you have the general gist of this game. Same game with an expensive buy feature that allows you to shortcut your way to “Free spins”. It goes without saying that shortcuts are not guarantees of a win, or that you will win enough to cover your initial stake.
The good news is that the Book of Priestess Bonus Buy by the fabulously talented Evoplay isn’t a tomb-based game. The bad news is that the game is still a little dull. It’s a grower, not unplayable, and not terrible, just not as exciting as other games of a similar theme.
That said, the background track is good enough to keep you in the game and grows with intention the longer you play, which, is why we think the game is a “grower” because you keep playing thinking that something is about to happen. Which, it didn’t, but by that time the game had grown on me. Clever Evoplay, clever.
The safer gambling element of this game is limited to all the usual autoplay mode options. Basically, what you get here is a good old-fashioned dose of self-restraint, or in other words, this is just a spin and win the game with a basic autoplay mode.

Nice little earners in between, but they weren’t exactly massive or forthcoming in the original game, less so in this with a reduced RTP%.
