Game Content

The Book of the Irish is a game that you could happily play over and over. Not because the pots are massive, or that the actual theme is one that inspires, but because the feel-good factor in this game is great. The game is fun too.

Set in the lush green rolling hills of what we assume is Ireland, where a checky Leprechaun guard’s a pot of gold. The rest of the game is a no-thrills affair with plenty of relaxing “Irish” music that has a lucky leprechaun feel to it.

Drop the scatter symbols and this game starts to take off. The music gets jauntier, and the spins just keep coming. Even though this is a simple game with a basic Book of… game setup, I liked playing this game. What did help, was that I dropped a considerable pot whilst in the Free spins bonus round. This game isn’t just about the spins or the wins, it’s about the whole happy package that this game is wrapped in.

There is a very good safer gambling element to this game, but you need to go looking for it. Press and hold the play button and it takes you to a back page that offers the “auto-spin” function with a loss limiter and or a win limiter. There is a “history” director of your stakes and wins too, which is handy. Obviously, that isn’t a perfect solution, but it is a nice little head-up. It’s easy to get lost in a game and having a list of what and when you staked is a good thing.

The rest is a good old-fashioned manual click option. Which is good for me. What better way to control your game than a little willpower and an urge to play something else.

Game Developer

Inspired Gaming has a fabulous array of slot games that are all designed to entertain first. Gambling seems to be their secondary feature, which is rare in the iGambling world. The additional effort made with the soundtrack to all of their games really shines through, especially in the Book of Independence.

Bonus Feature

Free Spins

The Book of the Irish is built around the classic scatter symbols that you’d normally get with any Book of… slot. Bag a minimum of three scatter symbols to trigger your 10 Free spins Bonus round.

The jackpots and wins on this game are good, especially if you bag the scatter symbols, which is when this game really pops. The pots are good and the animation is well done.

Gamble Feature

There are two options to the gamble feature. You can either gamble your win for “Free spins”, or double your money. Both are optional and you need to activate them to play. The cool thing about both gamble features is that you can see your likely hood of losing, which is displayed in a pie chart.

There is a “go faster” button, but that just eats away at your funds and takes all the enjoyment out of the game.
