The greatest love story ever told was repacked and redone in the book of Romeo & Julia Golden Nights. Gamomats second attempt at the ultimate Valentine’s Day special makes you question whether the effort was worth it.

Alas loves young dream is missing yet again in this game, as this is just the spin-off of the original slot game built around the most famous love story of all time. Gamomat has missed the brief a second time with the Golden Nights edition of this game. Although there is an additional Bonus Boost to this game, there is very little else. Same slot game noises, so there is no need to play with the sound on.

The only time there is any “music”, is when you win, or during the build-up to bagging three scatter symbols, then the game briefly comes alive. Other than that, it’s the same noise you get on all other Gamomat slot games.

Take away the pictures of dreamy young lovers and a few symbols of that famous love such as the dagger and the love letters, and you’d be hard-pushed to figure out what game you were playing. The graphics are basic at best and the game itself is a little dull in comparison with other Gamomat games.

There is no safer gambling element in this game. This is just a spin-and-win game with a basic autoplay mode.

Prizes in this game are pretty good, but not epic, and getting the scatter symbol (3 books) is as difficult as actually finding true love. That said, I bagged the scatter symbols in this game too, and was blown away at high good the payout was. The pot that I walked away with was one of the biggest I’ve won on any Book of… game. Obviously, it all depends on your stake, and luck, as this is a random feature, so there is no guarantee that your pot will be as big, but it will be generous.

There are two gamble features in this game. The classic higher or lower ladder and the simple 50/50 Red or Black game. Neither options work in autospin mode. The rest is just good old-fashioned spins.
