Game Content
The newest games provider on the block is the very talented Gong Gaming Technologies with their first (of many hopefully) Book of… game, the Book of Raider. Unfortunately, the newest of new has gone for a tired and exhausted theme that has been massively overcovered.
The Book of Raider isn’t what you’d call “engaging”, but sometimes that’s exactly what you need. The graphics and soundtrack are OK in a game that is never going to make the all-time top 10 of epic slots, but this isn’t a game that fails either. Sticking to what you know and enjoying a game at a slower pace is no bad thing.
The Royal League Jackpot is a cool add-on to this game, but there isn’t much else happening. That said, this is a pleasant and enjoyable game that will keep you entertained and coming back for more. The expanding symbols pop up every now and then to increase your chances of a win. The Boost Button offers a greater reward (x10), but that comes at a cost that effectively doubles your bet.
Tokens show up on the reels and can be collected, which eventually trigger the “Golden Spins”. The starting spins are set at 8 and rise to 16 with more and more tokens. There is a “Bonus Game” too, which is called Royal League. This offers a fixed jackpot and is completely random. Basically, it’s a dice game that decides on your direction and eventually your pot.
There is no safer gambling element other than the good old-fashioned manual click option. Which is good for me. What better way to control your game than a little willpower and an urge to play something else.

Gong Gaming Technologies are so new, that they haven’t even celebrated its 2nd birthday yet. Not that that has hampered this promising new upstart. With the games that they have available, it’s just a matter of time before they blow everyone else out of the digital water.

The Book of Raider is built around the classic scatter symbols that you’d normally get with any Book of… slot. Bag a minimum of three scatter symbols to trigger your 10 Free spins Bonus round.
The jackpots and wins on this game are OK but won’t blow your socks off. I never managed to get anything earth-shattering on this game, which included the Free spins round. Oddly enough, that didn’t seem to matter.
Gamble Feature
There is no gamble feature on this game, but there is a Turbo mode that manages to do nothing other than suck the fun and funds out of the game. Best to leave well alone.
