Comment: Oh, say can you see by the dawn’s early light. Yes, yes we can!
When we talk of independence, the good old US of A is the only story that comes to mind, and the Book of Independence is a short history lesson in 3 x 6 reels. Well not completely, there is more to the actual story than Golden Eagles, Liberty Bells and Uncle Sam. But there isn’t much more to the game.
That said, the Book of Independence is a game that you could happily play over and over. Even if just for the brilliant and seriously upbeat background track. The “feel-good” factor in this game is second to none.
Even the game is fun too, trying to get the reels to spell out the word “USA” just to see what will happen. The answer to that sadly is nothing unless you get the U at the top x3 and the S in the middle row x 3 and the A at the bottom x 3, then you bag a prize and have the satisfaction of having spelt out the word USA. That took me a while to figure out that there was nothing extra in it.
Drop the scatter symbols and this game starts to take off. The music gets jauntier, and the spins just keep coming. Even though this is a simple game with a basic Book of… game set up, I loved playing this game. What did help, was that I dropped a considerable pot whilst in the Free spins bonus round.
This game isn’t just about the spins or the wins, it’s about the whole happy package that this game is wrapped in.
There is a very good safer gambling element to this game, but you need to go looking for it. Press and hold the play button and it takes you to a back page that offers the “auto-spin” function with a loss limiter and or a win limiter. There is a “history” director of your stakes and wins too, which is handy. Obviously, that isn’t a perfect solution, but it is a nice little head up. It’s easy to get lost in a game and having a list of what and when you staked is a good thing.
The rest is a good old-fashioned manual click option. Which is good for me. What better way to control your game than a little willpower and an urge to play something else.
Inspired Gaming has a fabulous array of slot games that are all designed to entertain first. Gambling seems to be their secondary feature, which is rare in the iGambling world. The additional effort made with the soundtrack to all of their games really shines through, especially in the Book of Independence.
The Book of Independence is built around the classic scatter symbols that you’d normally get with any Book of… slot. Bag a minimum of three scatter symbols to trigger your 10 Free spins Bonus round.
The jackpots and wins on this game are good, especially if you bag the scatter symbols, which is when this game really pops. The pots are good and the animation is better.
There are two options to the gamble feature. You can either gamble your win for “Free spins”, or double your money. Both are optional and you need to activate them to play. The cool thing about both gamble features is that you can see your likely hood of losing, which is displayed in a pie chart.
There is a “go faster” button, but that just eats away at your funds and takes all the enjoyment out of the game.
