The Book of Fate has something different to offer than the usual Book of… game requirements, a double Bonus round. Not altogether unique in the Book of… series, but a nice addition to an enjoyable game.

Released by the talented Global Games and produced by Nailed it! Games, the Book of Fate is a classic (albeit with a tasty bonus twist) Book of… games with an all too familiar theme. The story is set around an archaeologist that is trying to unlock the mysteries of the tomb. So many tombs, so many archaeologists and so many mythical ancient Egyptian characters have donned the guise of a Book of… game, and this is not all that different from the rest.

That sounds a little harsh given the quality of the game, but we are well into a decade of games with the Egyptian theme, so we need something fresh. Sadly the Book of Fate doesn’t go far enough to be an original. That said, this is a fun game to play, with an interesting soundtrack (also similar to most other Tomb Books), but the double Bonus feature is a cool addition to this Tomb-based Book.

Prizes in this game are generous enough, especially if you manage to trigger any of the Bonus rounds, or cash in on the multipliers for expanding symbols. These have a maximum of x10, which could lead to a monster 50,000x your stake.

The safer gambling element is missing in this game, and the auto-play is limited. The rest is a good old-fashioned dose of self-restraint.
