GameArt has created a monster with the adorable Book of Cupigs. This is a game that you don’t even need to play to fall in love with. The opening visuals and the soundtrack is all you need. Although there is a familiar Christmas sound to it that I can’t quite place, but, that doesn’t matter as this game is definitely Valentine’s Day themed.
Cupids potbellied porkers are beautiful fluttering Cupigs, equipped with bows, harps, violins, and roses. The object of this little love-infused game is to get the coveted Valentine’s book. Bag three and this game goes from cute and cuddly to love-struck and generous.
The graphics in the game are fabulous. This is a game that you could spend hours playing and just enjoying the joy of it all. Which, begs the question of a go-faster button. Why bother? It takes all the fun out of this game and empties your pot at lightning speed. Our top tip is to leave well alone and enjoy the game at normal speed.
There is a Buy feature in this game that will cost you 100x your stake, which adds up to a whole lot of disappointment when you need to hit a minimum of €100 just to break even. Avoid and enjoy the game.
Safer Gambling element is all linked through the autoplay mode. You have a Loss Limiter and a Win Limiter, both of which you can set to your budget. A loss limiter is the best way forward. It really does open your eyes to just how fast you empty your pot.
GameArt is a master of the different. This game is a perfect example of just how they work. Pick a concept and completely turning it on its head without losing its original identity is nothing short of brilliant. Other games in their portfolio are just as good and defo worth a look. Book of Alchemy is another must-play game.
The Book of Cupigs is built around the classic scatter symbols that you’d normally get with any Book of… slot, but all turned on its head. Three Book of… symbols trigger the Bonus spins and you are then taken to the actual Love Book which reveals your Bonus symbol and the spins begin. You start with 10 free spins.
Prizes in this game are not as big as you’d get in other games, but they are generous, including the bonus rounds. But that is not what makes this game pop. The Bonus round took a while to trigger (without the buy feature), but the free spins through the Book scatter symbols made up for the wait. Luck obviously plays its part here.
There is a gamble feature that activates as soon as you have won. This option extends to the bonus round too, so be warned, it’s a basic red or black option, but it comes with all the thrills and excitement that you’d expect when you risk your winnings. The gamble feature does not work in autoplay mode. You will need to manually deactivate this feature first.
Bonus Buy feature
There is a bonus buy feature in this game, which guarantees you the three scatter symbols. It doesn’t however guarantee that the buy-in price is covered in that win. Ours wasn’t, but it doesn’t always work out like that. Avoid this option if you can’t afford to risk it.
