The Book of Clovers is a game that you could happily play over and over, but not for any great deal of time. It is a good game with an OK soundtrack and great graphics, but the game doesn’t exactly grab you.
Obviously, it’s a slot game and therefore there isn’t much that you need to do, but this is an easy game to play when you don’t really want to pay too much attention to what you are doing. I know that sounds weird, but this isn’t a game that makes you watch.
Set in the lush green rolling hills of Bilbo Baggins’ shire (so it seems) this game has great attention to detail. Everything is well made and the graphics behind the game are fabulous, but it’s not captivating enough to make it your “go-to” game.
Getting to the meat of this game, the scatter symbols are not easy. In fact, it took me a considerable investment to get to that stage. Once there the pay-out wasn’t awesome, but that probably had something to do with the random symbol I was given. Luck hadn’t been on my side.
There is no safer gambling element other than the good old-fashioned manual click option. Which is good for me. What better way to control your game than a little willpower and an urge to play something else.
Spinomenal is Gods among men when it comes to game development and graphical masterpieces. Everything they produce is an instant hit, with the exception of possibly this Book of… game. Book of Horror and Book of Rampage are much better games, and absolutely brilliant.
The Book of Clovers is built around the classic scatter symbols that you’d normally get with any Book of… slot. Bag a minimum of three scatter symbols to trigger your 10 Free spins Bonus round.
The jackpots and wins on this game are good, but not mind-blowing, especially if you use the “buy feature”. This needs to be avoided. Bag the scatter symbols in the good old-fashioned way, and this game comes alive. The pots are good and the animation is better.
There is no gamble feature on this game, but there is a Buy Feature option to “buy Spins”. Choosing this option is risky as you never managed to win back what it cost for the “free spins”, which obviously weren’t free. Stick to good old-fashioned winning and you can’t go wrong.
There is a “go faster” button, but that just eats away at your funds and takes all the enjoyment out of the game.
