Set in the beautiful backdrop of an unspoiled cherry-blossomed valley, the Book of Amaterasu takes you back to ancient China where the great goddess of the Sun is shining in the sky. The soundtrack to this game makes you want to forget everything else and just sit in peace and harmony and play.
Tranquillity and patience are the keys to this game because it takes a while to bag the three scatter symbols, yet it takes forever for your pot to empty. I failed to bag any big pots in this game, but the smaller wins are plentiful and just keep coming.
The safer gambling element is missing in this game, but the auto-play is pretty extensive. You can control what you lose or win and in what percentages you want to carry on. It’s a nice feature that makes this game stand out. Obviously, this won’t control your losses, but it will stop you once you have hit the set number of spins. It’s a good way of keeping track of what you spend in a game.
Mascot Gaming is the developer of the Book of Amaterasu, and you can tell because the graphics and the theme is perfect. Like all their games, design and quality take center stage. They claim to be “diverse, non-trivial, attractive and entertaining for everyone”, which is just about spot on.
No gamble feature in this game, but you can buy Free spins. OK, I know that if you buy them then they are not free, but that is how the Book of Amaterasu has advertised them. Anyway, back to the point, they are not always worth it. I only opted for this once and didn’t come close to making it pay, but that doesn’t mean that you won’t if you opt for this feature.
Life is a gamble, and this game is no exception, so make sure to way up the pros and cons before you buy. The rest is just good old-fashioned reels, spins and luck.
The Book of Amaterasu has all the classic Book of… Bonus options. Spin and drop three or more scatter symbols and the Free Spins feature is triggered. You are then taken to the actual Book of Blood which reveals your Bonus symbol, and the spins begin. You start with 10 free spins.
Prizes in this game are generous enough that you don’t need to buy the Buy Bonus option.
There is no gamble feature in this game, just the poorly named “buy Free spins” feature.
